New River West Virginia
Smallmouth Bass Streams and Lakes
The Smallmouth bass originally ranged from Minnesota and southern Quebec, south to the Tennessee River in Alabama. It
extended from the east to the west as far as eastern Oklahoma and southwestern Arkansas. Over the years, stocking established
the smallmouth in many other states. There are only two states, Florida and Louisiana, where populations have not become
established. The following are some of the most popular smallmouth fishing destinations. Keep in mind, there are hundreds of
small streams and lakes that have a population of smallmouth bass that are not included in this list.
